RIO RANCHO — It has been roughly 3,398 days since Rio Rancho’s last tee time.
Since then, the course has been known for development disputes, a bounty of debt and community debates over the land, just to name a few items from the laundry list.
But before the old course became an inferno (figuratively and literally) of problems for Rio Rancho, it was the city’s lone option to hit the links. Now, in spring with summer upon us, a decade of golf seasons have come and gone since its closure, as the city still sports a golf course-sized hole in its community…
