National chain set to open its 1st Pa. location at busy Lehigh Valley shopping center

A Southern-inspired, fast-casual chain specializing in made-from-scratch chicken salad will soon open its first Pennsylvania location in the Lehigh Valley.

Chicken Salad Chick is moving into the space formerly occupied by Buff City Soaps at Airport Road Shopping Center, 942 Airport Center Road, in Hanover Township, Lehigh County. The national soap and body care retailer abruptly closed its doors in March 2025.

The regional site is set to be operated by franchisees Amanda and Ernest Greenford, a married couple. The pair told followers on Facebook the goal is a mid to late July opening.
