BOSTON (WWLP) – A Colombian woman who prosecutors said lived in the United States for more than two decades under a stolen identity was sentenced to prison for voter fraud and identity theft.

Lina Maria Orovio-Hernandez, 60, was sentenced to 33 months in prison for voter fraud, identity theft and illegally obtaining more than $400,000 in government benefits.
Orovio-Hernandez was ordered to pay $404,194 in restitution. She will be subject to deportation after completing her sentence, according to federal officials.
Prosecutors said Orovio-Hernandez unlawfully used the identity of a U.S. citizen born in Puerto Rico for more than 20 years to obtain housing assistance, disability payments, food benefits, and identification documents, including a Massachusetts REAL ID and multiple other state IDs.
