WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – A Wilmington teen is back home after completing an eight-week treatment program in Los Angeles for a rare neurological condition that sometimes prevents her from walking, talking or seeing.
Amelia Matthews, now 15, was diagnosed with functional neurological disorder (FND) last December. The condition affects how the brain sends and receives signals.
