Crews respond to brush fire in Cottonwood Heights

COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah (ABC4) — A brush fire broke out near 6900 S and 2650 E in Cottonwood Heights.

According to the Unified Fire Authority, they are actively responding to a field/grass fire in Cottonwood Heights near 6900 S and 2650 E, near Captiva Cove Road.

While the fire is extinguished it has burned approximately half of an acre. The fire started burning behind several homes but only damaged a few fences.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, according to Unified Fire Authority. They have not released any more information at this time.
