Old railroad land to become part of western Pa. trail system thanks to new state funding

Allegheny County has secured $3 million in state funding to expand trail access and grow its public bike share system.

PennDOT awarded the Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside grants to two county entities for the Panhandle Trail Extension and the fourth phrase of POGOH Bike Share expansion, announced Democratic U.S. Rep. Chris Deluzio, whose 17th Congressional District includes a large portion of Allegheny County.
