FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The City of Fort Wayne announced the upcoming closure of a main roadway on Monday.
According to a Traffic alert from City Utilities, South Anthony Boulevard will be closed to traffic between Pontiac and Oxford Streets starting Monday. The intersections at Oxford Street and South Anthony Boulevard, and at Pontiac Street and South Anthony Boulevard, will remain open. Side streets will remain open for residents to access driveways.
The closure is due to crews replacing a water main that has been in use since 1919, and is expected to end on Friday. The road maintenance is part of a larger project to replace lead pipes and water mains in Fort Wayne’s south side…
