Supporters of the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library System made a plea for more city funding at a recent Huntsville City Council meeting.
They said additional funding is needed because employees of the system have not received cost-of-living raises over the past couple of years, as well as the aging downtown library at 915 Monroe St. needs renovations.
