NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Interstate 40 in Nashville was closed after an oversized load hit the Broadway Bridge, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
The eastbound lanes of I-40 are closed at Exit 208A — the I-65 split — after a truck’s oversized load struck the Broadway Bridge. I-65 South to I-40 East is also closed, TDOT said.
TDOT said there is a second oversized load behind the one that struck the bridge. Both trucks will have to be backed up I-40 to I-65 so they can go around downtown Nashville…
