Carter Napier on Pitt commitment: ‘It just felt right’

Carter Napier has been on Pitt’s radar for about a year now. Napier camped at Pitt last summer, took in a game visit in the fall and returned for a spring practice not long ago. During that timeline, Pitt offered the 6’3″ and 265-pound defensive linemen from Ohio, becoming the first power-four program to do so.

Because of that longstanding relationship, Napier announced his commitment to the Panthers on Sunday afternoon.

“It just felt right,” Napier told Panther-Lair.com on what led to him committing to Pitt. “They were the first power-four school to believe in and offer me. It just felt like the right place. My relationship with Coach Daoust, Coach Narduzzi and Coach Sanders, there’s not a coach on the staff that I don’t at least have a little bit of a relationship with, so it just felt like the right place with me.”…
