CHICAGO (WGN) — Cookies, brownies and bread, the Great Bake Walk is a new spin on an old classic.
Billed as a one-of-a-kind morning adventure, the Great Bake Walk invites Chicagoans to explore the Lincoln Square neighborhood while sampling delicious baked goods from a variety of local bakeries — all served up inside small, local business storefronts.
“We wanted to give a new way to explore the community,” said Rudy Flores, CEO of the Lincoln Square Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce. “We do a wine stroll twice a year, so instead of focusing on alcohol, we’re like, let’s focus on a different item, so we did baked goods because we have so many bakeries.”…
