Lupe Tortilla worker sentenced after pleading guilty to secret bathroom recording

A onetime worker at Lupe Tortilla confessed to recording a child and mother inside the restaurant where he worked and was sentenced to a year in state jail, according to Harris County court records.

Bayron Elias Pu, 31, pleaded guilty Friday to invasive visual recording in a bathroom or dressing room, court records show. Pu worked at the Lupe Tortilla restaurant at 9313 Katy Freeway and was arrested on New Year’s Eve, accused of placing a hidden camera inside the restaurant’s bathroom.
