Rapid City’s downtown music scene keeps rolling this summer as Omaha-based cover band Grunge Pop takes the stage for Rapid City Summer Nights on Thursday, June 4. Known throughout the Midwest for blending grunge, pop, rock, dance, and alternative hits into one high-energy live show, the four-piece band has built a reputation as a crowd favorite across Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota.
Formed in 2016 by members Chad and Tiffany, Grunge Pop has spent the last decade building a massive catalog of songs and adapting their performances to fit everything from bike rallies and weddings to street dances and festivals. During a recent interview ahead of their Rapid City appearance, vocalist Tiffany described the group as “a variety band” that aims to bring something for everyone to the stage.
“We play just a little bit of everything,” Tiffany said during the interview. “If you like grunge, if you like pop, like everything in between — we’re your band.”
That versatility has become one of the band’s greatest strengths. Rather than sticking to one style, Grunge Pop carefully tailors each setlist to the type of event they’re playing.
