CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — Gas prices across South Carolina dropped over the past week, offering some relief to drivers after months of higher costs.
According to GasBuddy’s weekly survey of more than 3,000 stations statewide, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline fell 18.9 cents to $3.85 as of Monday. While prices are down 11.3 cents compared to a month ago, they remain $1.12 higher than this time last year.
Drivers can still see a wide range in prices depending on where they fill up. GasBuddy reported the cheapest station in South Carolina at $3.40 per gallon and the most expensive at $4.89 per gallon, a difference of nearly $1.50…
