Utah teen with terminal brain cancer finds hope through art

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah (KUTV) — A Utah teen in the middle of a battle with terminal brain cancer has found light in the darkness through painting.

Doctors said 19-year-old Rylie Kimball of South Jordan has less than six months to live.

“On March 19th, Rylie underwent a 9-hour brain surgery where three tumors were biopsied. On March 25th, her family received the devastating news that two of the three tumors showed metastatic brain cancer from the Rhabdoid tumor diagnosed in 2023. Now, Rylie has less than six months to live,” according to GoFundMe.

After a diagnosis of neurofibromatosis type 2, more than 50 surgeries and nearly 30 rounds of radiation, Rylie’s passion for art has kept her going…
