CANAAN TOWNSHIP – A Rittman woman was killed in a fatal crash involving three vehicles at the intersection of Ohio 83 and Ohio 604.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash that occurred at approximately 8:58 a.m. June 1.
The preliminary investigation indicates a blue 2024 Chevrolet Trax, driven by Brittany R. Covender, 35, of Akron, was traveling southbound on Ohio 83 and a white 2024 Chrysler Voyager, driven by Cindy L. Jewell Frink, 47, of Massillon, was northbound on Ohio 83. The Chevrolet Trax failed to yield the right of way and initiated a left turn with the intent to travel east on Ohio 604 when it collided with the northbound Chrysler, according to the news release from the state highway patrol…
