One injured in shooting at Wawa in Brodheadsville

A person was shot during an altercation in Chestnuthill Township.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the Fern Ridge station received a call reporting a shooting at the Wawa at 1781 Route 209, Brodheadsville, shortly before 10 p.m. Friday, May 29.

State police say that a verbal altercation between several individuals became physical. It was after the altercation turned physical that one person involved fired a round from a firearm, striking another individual. The person who was struck was taken to a local medical facility for injuries that were not life-threatening…
