SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Indian Beach Park remains closed nearly two years after Hurricane Milton, with new fencing installed in May completely blocking access to the waterfront.
The city of Sarasota said the park has been closed since 2024 due to safety concerns following significant damage from Hurricanes Helene and Milton. On May 12, crews installed new chain link fencing and park closed signs, cutting off access entirely.
