A man was flown to a Dayton-area trauma center after suffering a serious chainsaw injury Monday afternoon in Champaign County.
According to the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at approximately 12:20 p.m. to a residence in the 11000 block of Possum Hollow Road in St. Paris on a report of a man who had cut his leg while using a chainsaw.
When deputies arrived, they found the man sitting in his driveway holding his injured leg with a piece of paracord wrapped around it in an attempt to stop the bleeding. A deputy applied a tourniquet to the victim’s left leg until emergency medical personnel arrived…
