Three people arrested following drug bust in North Carolina

NORTH CAROLINA — A North Carolina man is facing drug-related charges after police said he attempted to destroy evidence by placing drug paraphernalia in his mouth and crushing it with his teeth during a traffic stop.

According to the Red Springs Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop as part of the Southeastern North Carolina Violent Crimes Task Force Operation. A vehicle search was conducted after a K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics.

During the search, officers said they found 85 oxycodone pills, a large amount of U.S. currency and other drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle…
