GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) — The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office is rolling out a new initiative called “B4 the Break” aimed at helping deputies connect people in crisis with local resources before situations spiral into bigger emergencies.
Lt. Mike Decker said deputies frequently respond to calls that aren’t criminal, but involve people who still need help, such as those facing homelessness, addiction, mental health struggles, or a lack of basic necessities.
