Nashville General Sessions Court welcomes first-ever court social worker

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A new position inside Nashville’s General Sessions Court is designed to help people find resources they may need long before they leave the courtroom.

Metropolitan Nashville-Davidson County General Sessions Court has announced the hiring of its first court social worker, a move court leaders say will help connect individuals with critical services while navigating legal proceedings.

Laura Frazier, who recently joined the court in the newly created role, will work with people involved in criminal, civil and traffic court cases.
