Wilson County bus driver Frances Theiring gets state hall of fame nod to cap 50-year career

Retiring Wilson County Schools bus driver Frances Theiring will be the county’s first woman inducted into the Tennessee School Bus Driver Hall of Fame to cap a nearly 50-year career.

Theiring’s fellow bus drivers and WCS personnel honored her for her career recently at the transportation department’s year-end cookout.

Theiring, who drove a special education bus and taught in a special education classroom in Mt. Juliet for 49 years, said she felt “overwhelmed but grateful.”
