Woman accused of crashing into e-scooter riders in Rohnert Park

(KRON) — Two juveniles were riding an electric scooter in Rohnert Park when they were struck by a hit-and-run driver. On Monday, three days after the collision, one of the juveniles remained in a hospital’s intensive care unit with major injuries.

The crash happened on Friday night in the intersection of Waterside Lane and Bodway Parkway. Police said Tamisha Joeline Smith, 34, of Petaluma, was driving a Dodge Durango SUV when she crashed into the e-scooter and drove away without helping the injured victims.

“Both juveniles were riding together on an electric scooter when they were struck by a vehicle. The vehicle then fled the scene,” the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety wrote…
