An Iowa attorney is facing a possible two-year suspension of his law license due to criminal convictions for assault and tampering with a witness.
In June 2025, the Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board filed a formal complaint against attorney Mark J. Willie, 41, of Polk County, alleging he had violated the state’s rules of professional conduct by committing the crimes of assault with intent to cause serious injury, violating a no-contact order, and tampering with witness.
