Irondale mayor announces long-awaited plans to move forward with construction of Costco

IRONDALE, Ala. (WIAT) — The city of Irondale has closed on a deal to build a new Costco. Irondale Mayor James D. Stewart Jr. said Monday that the store will generate hundreds of jobs and bring in significant sales tax revenue.

Site work expected to begin this week at the new location off Grants Mill Road.
