Mother Sends Autistic, Non-verbal Daughter to ECMC After Violent Attack in Erie County

POLICE AUDIO CAN BE FOUND AT THE END OF THIS ARTICLE: Law enforcement received a call around 7:43pm on May 28th after reports of an assault on Sheridan Drive in Tonawanda, Erie County.

The 911 caller, and mother of the suspect, told police that her “autistic [and] non-verbal daughter began attacking her.” This included, according to the caller, “kicking and punching.” The mother requested that police have her daughter transported to ECMC so that she’s removed from the home.

Police and EMS responded to the scene. It is believed the vulnerable child was removed from the residence. No further information is available at this time…
