Man accused of injuring 5 Cleveland police officers now charged with attempted murder

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A Cuyahoga County Grand Jury has indicted the man accused of injuring five Cleveland police officers and a K-9 during a shooting and a chase.

Brian Branch, 24, was indicted on a total of 21 charges:

  • Six counts of attempted murder
  • Seven counts of felonious assault
  • One count of vandalism
  • One count of criminal damaging
  • One count of assaulting police dog
  • Three counts of discharge of a firearm on or near prohibited premises
  • Two counts of of failure to comply with the order, signal of a police officer

Branch is currently locked up at the Cuyahoga County Jail and is scheduled to be arraigned on June 12.
