A Spartanburg County judge is expected to dismiss an assault case against an Upstate county councilman and S.C. House candidate who was involved in an incident earlier this year at the University of South Carolina Upstate.
According to court documents, a Spartanburg County Magistrate Court Judge, Blake Norton, will grant councilman and S.C. House candidate Monier Abusaft a motion to dismiss an assault and battery charge after an alleged assault at USC Upstate’s campu s.
