BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Benny’s Car Wash and Oil Change announced it will discontinue state inspection services at its locations effective Monday.
The business cited recent changes in Louisiana state law in a social media post. The new law takes effect in January 2027.
The law will eliminate the requirement for third-party safety inspections. Louisiana drivers will replace their annual vehicle safety inspection sticker with a self-installed QR code.
Drivers in East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, Livingston, Iberville and Ascension parishes will still need emissions testing under federal law…
