TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – An Arizona nonprofit that helps both U.S. military veterans and homeless dogs opened its first facility in Tucson on Monday, June 1.
Soldier’s Best Friend, founded in Peoria in 2011, helps U.S. military veterans with PTSD or traumatic brain injuries by pairing them with service or therapeutic companion dogs.
Most of the dogs in the program are rescued from local shelters, so it is win-win for everyone involved…
