Mid-Michigan church files federal lawsuit claiming township has restricted religious activities

WINDSOR TWP., Mich. (WILX) – A Mid-Michigan church has filed a federal lawsuit, claiming Windsor Township prohibited religious activity in the church building.

First Liberty Institute filed the lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan on behalf of The Tarrington Church, claiming the township “pursued a multi-year campaign to restrict or prevent the Church from engaging in activity in a church building where people have been gathering for nearly 60 years.”
