‘I thought I was dying’: Long road to recovery for biker shot on I-240

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis motorcyclist is facing months of recovery after being shot by a driver while riding his bike along I-240 just after midnight Monday.

The victim didn’t want to give his name but told WREG what happened to him from his hospital bed.

He said he had just left a biker club on South Parkway and got on the interstate when he realized a driver in a silver or champagne colored Chevrolet truck was following him.

He said he passed an 18-wheeler right before Union, and so did the guy in the pickup. He said the driver in the truck pulled into the right lane beside him and opened fire.

“They shot at me four times, and they hit me twice. So, at first I was like, what the hell’s going on? And I see the flash in my helmet, and I start feeling my sides burning. And I feel blood running down my hips,” he said…
