Gordon Godfrey and the Growth of Marcus Pointe

For more than three decades, Marcus Pointe Baptist Church has grown from a small congregation meeting in a modest building into one of Pensacola’s most recognizable churches. At the center of that story is Pastor Gordon Godfrey, whose ministry philosophy has remained surprisingly simple through years of expansion, campus growth, and cultural change: reach people, teach them about God’s love, care for them, and enlist them to reach more.
