Roanoke police announces arrest of one of the men injured in shooting

ROANOKE, Va. (WSET) — On Tuesday, the Roanoke Police Department announced the arrest of one of the men injured in a shooting outside a Northwest convenience store and gas station.

Police said on May 26, at approximately 6:16 p.m., officers responded to the 1800 block of Cove Road NW for the report of a shooting outside of a gas station. Police learned that two men with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds were being taken by personal vehicles to local hospitals. Further investigation determined the shooting incident initially started outside of a convenience store in the 1700 block of Cove Road NW.

Detectives determined a group of men was in a convenience store parking lot in the 1700 block of Cove Road NW when another man approached them and began firing into the group.
