A bitter custody battle between a New Orleans-area couple in the midst of a divorce ended in tragedy last Thursday morning when police say a father of two shot and killed his ex-wife before turning the gun on himself.
The murder-suicide happened at the woman’s apartment in Elmwood, La., a suburb west of New Orleans, according to local reports from NOLA.com, WDSU, and WWL-TV.
The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office said in a statement last week that officers found the mother of two dead inside the apartment after “deputies were called to a disturbance.”…
