VERONA, N.Y. — A trucker was arrested on Tuesday for DWI after a crash in the overnight hours in New York.
According to a release from the New York State Police (NYSP), on June 2, 2026, the agency arrested Alexis Balbin Mazo, 25, of Boston, Massachusetts, for DWI resulting from a crash on the New York State Thruway (I-90) in Verona, Oneida County.
NYSP said its investigation revealed that at approximately 4:30 a.m. on June 2, Mazo was operating a 2017 Freightliner tractor-trailer westbound when he made an unsafe lane change, hitting a delineator and guard rail, rolling over and coming to a stop on the right side embankment…
