MEDINA, Ohio — Complaints over fiber optic internet installation projects are spreading across Medina County, prompting local officials to search for solutions even as they say state and federal regulations leave them with little authority to intervene.
The issue surfaced again in recent meetings of both the Medina County Board of Commissioners and Medina Township trustees, where officials discussed a growing number of resident complaints about damaged property, construction disruptions, restoration work and difficulties getting problems resolved after crews leave.
