Buffalo man arrested on homicide warrant during traffic stop

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man was arrested early Wednesday morning on homicide charges due to an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop in Carrollton, the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office said.

Marquel Kennedy, 28, had an arrest warrant for homicide out of the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office, officials said. Kennedy was arrested around 3 a.m. following a traffic stop.

Officials did not confirm if the arrest is in relation to a crash from June 2025 in Bethany, where a motorcyclist was killed…
