Hundreds gather in Harrisburg to honor teen, 17, fatally shot while getting off school bus

Hundreds of people, including local elected officials and religious leaders, gathered at a Harrisburg corner Wednesday evening for a balloon release honoring the 17-year-old boy who was fatally shot last week while getting off a school bus.

The event was held at North 6th and Emerald streets, where Camar Cordero was shot and killed at about 3:15 p.m. on May 29.

Angelo Craig, with Harrisburg’s Group Violence Intervention, led the event alongside leaders from Day Spring Ministries.
