Florida State’s 2027 recruiting class ranks as the 50th-best in the 247Sports Composite rankings. This is not acceptable for the Seminoles, which is a program that expects to compete for championships. However, Florida State has had six losing seasons in eight years and needs to find sustainability.

The Seminoles are reeling after losing their top commit, four-star defensive back Mekhi Williams. This was not something that the fan base wanted to see after there has been so much negativity surrounding Florida State and the job security of head coach Mike Norvell.

With that said, there is a bit of positivity where Florida State has its quarterback in the fold with three-star Logan Flaherty from Port Charlotte, Florida. He had 38 total touchdowns during his junior season and looks to be a serious candidate to elevate himself to a four-star prospect.
