One killed, another critically injured after crash in Salt Lake City; road closures in place

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4) — One person is dead and another critically injured after a crash in Salt Lake City.

The incident happened at around 4 p.m. on Wednesday evening. Sgt Greg Wilkins, Public Information Officer with the Salt Lake City Police Department said that a minivan was traveling southbound on 5600 W when they turned in front of a blue semitruck that was stopped to turn eastbound onto 300 S.

As they were turning, the minivan was struck by a second semitruck, that was headed northbound. Unfortunately, the driver of the minivan, an adult male was killed. Additionally, the minivan passenger was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the involved semitruck vehicle was uninjured…
