SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Willamalane Park and Recreation District is asking for community input on a proposed multi-use path that would connect Springfield’s Thurston area to an existing trail system.
According to Willamalane, the path would run along the McKenzie River and through the district’s Moe Mountain area, linking to the existing EWEB multi-use path. Community members can share their thoughts through an online survey available at Willamalane’s website until July 5.
The final route will be determined based on community feedback if the project moves forward. The path was identified as a high priority in Willamalane’s 2023 Comprehensive Plan and is part of the City of Springfield’s Transportation System Plan.
