‘Insufficient evidence’ to file charges after fire at Clovis farmhouse

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man was arrested, and a juvenile was detained following a fire that destroyed a beloved farmhouse in Clovis last week, the city’s police department confirmed on Wednesday.

But the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office tells YourCentralValley.com that their office will not be filing charges for the fire at this time.

The incident was first reported to the Clovis Fire Department at around 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Crews responded to the vacant home at 2675 N. Willow Avenue to find the building on fire.

The fire department called for the police department to respond to the scene after finding evidence of possible arson. Officers say they later detained a male adult and a male juvenile nearby in connection with their investigation…
