Ducklings rescued by Manlius Police

MANLIUS, N.Y. — The Manlius Police Department is reminding community members from all walks of life on the importance of water safety following the rescue of two ducklings on Wednesday.

According to the police department, two officers responded to a service call of two young ducklings that were separated and trapped away from their family. One duckling was rescued from a storm drain while the other was swept downstream.

The department says after a coordinated rescue effort, both ducklings were reunited with their “very relieved mother;” and reminded to always stay together and have parental supervision while near the water…
