Councilman “happy to assist” in city-parish corruption probe

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Three members of the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Council went to the Louisiana Department of Justice building early Wednesday after confirming to the WAFB I-TEAM they had received subpoenas to appear.

WAFB cameras were rolling as council members Jennifer Racca, Denise Amoroso and Brandon Noel walked into the building. They spent about two hours inside before leaving separately.

It was at least the second time council members had appeared at the building to answer questions in Attorney General Liz Murrill’s ongoing probe into alleged mismanagement and improper spending in Baton Rouge city-parish government…
