North Texas principal removed for reprimanding students, now appointed principal at another DISD school

DALLAS — A North Texas principal removed from her post after holding a racially exclusive meeting with Black students has landed a new principal role within the same school district.

Former Woodrow Wilson High School principal Chandra Hooper Barnett has been appointed principal at Lincoln High School, Dallas ISD officials confirmed.

Hooper Barnett was removed in 2025 after what the district described as “a recent incident” that did not reflect the school’s values or expectations. Parents told WFAA that incident was an advisory meeting Hooper Barnett called exclusively for Black students — during which, multiple students told their parents, she told them they were the reason Woodrow Wilson holds a “B rating” instead of an “A.”…
