Black Mountain firefighter union warns of funding crisis affecting pay, gear and projects

BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. (WLOS) — The International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) in Black Mountain is sounding the alarm over what it calls a growing funding crisis.

The union released an advisory to residents earlier this week, saying firefighter pay, equipment needs and future capital projects are being impacted by budget decisions.
