Man accused of shooting Buffalo police officer indicted by grand jury

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The man accused of shooting a Buffalo police officer multiple times last week has been indicted by a grand jury, according to 2 On Your Side’s Alissa Clausell.

Lawyers for Minhaz Siddiqui were in court Thursday in front of Buffalo City court Judge Andrew LoTempio. Siddiqui is still being treated for his injuries at ECMC, according to his attorney. He was not present in court and waived his right to appear in court.

Siddiqui was being represented by private counsel, but they were relieved of their duties. The family has chosen to stick with public defender Brian Parker, who is expected to be back in court on June 15…
