Oregon teen who called in hoax threats to schools across Ohio indicted on 6 federal charges, per officials

OHIO, USA — An Oregon man who was arrested last month after allegedly calling in dozens of bomb threats to schools around Ohio on March 4 was indicted Wednesday on six federal charges, according to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

Nathan Hayes, 18, of Sweet Home, Oregon, faces six counts of threatening communications involving explosives for his role in calling in at least 17 swatting and other hoax terrorist threats to schools across Ohio.

Four Northeast Ohio schools were listed in the indictment, which include Shaker Heights High School, Rocky River High School, Cardinal High School and Auburn Career Center…
